1. European Congress of Medical Physics (ECMP2020) goes ahead virtual

We have made a decision to change the ECMP to an on-line congress and now the Congress Planning and Local Organising Committees are moving fast forward with optimisation of the pro-gramme into on-line format, with a robust virtual technical platform. ECMP virtual edition will have the opportunity to reach a larger audience. With this in mind the Congress Planning Committee has also decided to reduce participation fees applied to the on-line congress as follows:

• Standard participants €100
• Students / low income country participants €60
• EFOMP School for Medical Physics Experts (ESMPE) pre congress editions €50

2. Individual Associate Member Registration (IAM) is open again

IAM registration has been temporarily suspended while we move EFOMP's office from the UK to NL. As from 8th March, it is open again and registered colleagues can enjoy the benefits that being an EFOMP IAM.

3. EFOMP elearning platform – free access to IAMs

All registered IAMs in 2020 will continue to have access to the e-Learning site until the end of March 2021, but after that date access will be deactivated until membership is renewed.

4. EFOMP School (ESMPE)

EFOMP is organising the next ESMPE in “MRI in Radiation Therapy Planning”, as a 2-day virtual meeting, which will be held on 5th – 6th May 2021. All of the lectures will be delivered live (i.e. not pre-recorded). This edition will be available only for EFOMP IAMs on a first come first served ba-sis.

5. EFOMP-COCIR webinars

Following the success of the lockdown, EFOMP-EUTEMPE and ECMP warm up webinars, we de-cided to organise a series of webinars jointly with COCIR under the supervision of EFOMP Euro-pean Matters committee, chaired by Loredana Marcu. The first webinar will take place on Fri-day 19th March at 12:00 AM CET, "IEC overview: the importance for the MPE community".

6. European Medical Physics News Spring 2021

EFOMP Communications and Publications Committee, chaired by David Lurie is delighted to an-nounce the publication of the Spring 2021 issue of its quarterly newsletter, entitled “Medical Phys-ics research in Europe”. Deadline for article collection to be published in EMPNews Summer 2021 is 10th May 2021. We are all looking forward to NMOs contributions.

We are also looking forward your creative photos. Take part to the 7th round of the photo contest with the specific topic: “Historical buildings from an unusual perspective”. Deadline: 30th April 2021.
