This is a satellite workshop of SuSIE (Summer School on Imaging in Epilepsy 2018) announced on the SuSIE web page as Scientific satellite workshop 1: MR Methods for Epileptology/MRI coil and sequence development. The role of MR in epileptology is to help finding epileptogenic lesions, in order to enable surgical treatment. Especially FCDs are not easily identified, their detection constitutes a challenge for MR imaging. To facilitate identification of relevant lesions, combination with modalities as MEG and EEG may be indicated. MR may also be needed to support invasive diagnostics. In this workshop imaging methods, techniques to interpret images, and requirements when combining MR and other modalities shall be discussed. Target audience are MR physicists and physicians with specific interest in MR in epileptology. Participants are invited to contribute oral and/or poster presentation.
